Reader Reviews

What a Gem!

This book was an easy read, yet packed with helpful and fun information. The author has wit and wisdom that is so powerful for anyone who loves (don’t we all!?), lives with (oh how I wish!) or works with “older” folks. Suzanne’s concise and thoughtful observations make navigating through, and around the “elder stuff” a less painful journey than it otherwise might be.

A Gift to Our Generation

Love it! This is a wonderful book full of helpful advice and also humor which is good for your soul when you’re dealing with the tough day to day work of caring for your aging parents. I’ve given it to several friends. Everyone my age seems to be overwhelmed by figuring out the challenges of caring for their parents. This book is a gift to our generation.

A Great Resource!

A great resource for anyone who takes care of their elders. A great resource not just for those taking care of their parents, but for anyone working as a caregiver.

Professional Reviews

“Finally, a book that tackles the subject of planning for your senior years in a concise, practical and resourceful manner. I have worked in the geripsychology field for over 20 years and this is the best resource I have found to give to families who often find themselves in need of a crash course in eldercare.”

Dr. Dahle Lattie, Geriatric Clinical Psychologist, Dallas, TX

“This book offers a great overview of aspects involved in the care of a senior. It is a rich resource for the senior themselves, their children, extended family and even neighbors or friends who may be involved in helping create a plan for the latter years of their lives. Suzanne does a great job of keeping a potentially heavy subject light-hearted and easy to read. The appendix is full of great resources for more in-depth needs. I highly recommend this book for every senior patient and their caregiver.”

Janna D. Ver Miller, MD, Geriatric Physician at Senior Health First, Lakewood, Colorado

“If there were medals for being organized in eldercare, Suzanne would win hands-down.”

Quinne Wilson, PharmD, RPh, national pharmacy chain

“Even though I’ve been in geriatric nursing for over 30 years, Suzanne’s book had fresh and relevant ideas for my own mother’s eldercare journey.”

Sandra Branch, LVN, Director of Wellness, assisted living facility
